Bolton School Engineering Day

Bolton School is hosting an Engineering Day for Year 10 to Year 13 pupils in the local area this October. Guests from industry and higher education will be in school to speak to interested students about a range of engineering careers and the various routes into them.
Former Tomorrow’s World presenter Kate Bellingham will open the day with a keynote address about careers using science, technology and mathematics. This will be followed by more specific thirty-minute sessions. The speakers will talk about their career history, explain what their job entails, and outline the essential skills and qualities required; they will also give advice about possible paths into their particular career. Higher education representatives will also be present to talk about specific degree courses, work placements, and will be able to discuss the job opportunities available after graduation.
