Bolton Schools’ Primary Football Championship Kicks Off

Thirty two teams of Primary School footballers took part in the qualifiers for the Bolton Schools’ Primary Football Championship.

The event was organised by the Bolton Schools' Sports Partnership, a collaboration between Bolton School, ESSA Academy and St Joseph’s Horwich, and the tournament was further supported by both Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic Football Club.

The qualifying rounds took place over two Friday afternoons at ESSA Academy and saw eight teams progess to the Finals' Day which will be held at Bolton School on Thursday 7th March. The day will see the remaining teams take part in the quarter final, semi final and the final.
