"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Boost for Bursary Fund from Old Boys' Golf Day

Friday, 21 September 2012

Despite the rain, Old Boltonians and their friends have once again made a significant contribution to the School's Bursary Fund through their annual President's Golf Day at Bolton Golf Club.

Teams were made up of Old Boys and friends and also teams of pupils from the Boys’ Division and the Girls' Division. Money was raised by each team paying an entry fee and further funds were raised on the day through a raffle, with large thanks being due to sponsors, advertisers and donors of prizes. A fantastic grand total of £4,332.03 was raised through the event.

Since the Golf Day first began in 2006, well over £20,000 has been raised for the School Bursary Fund, which goes towards paying the fees for the next generation of deserving pupils.
