Bolton School are the Northern U15 Cricket Champions!

After being declared Lancashire Champions, Bolton School played Yorkshire Champions Leeds Grammar School in the regional semi-final at Bolton School. The boys overcame Leeds by 9 wickets, scoring 119 runs for 1 wicket to Leeds' 116-6. Their victory led them to face Cumbrian Champions Sedbergh in the Northern Final played at Netherfield C.C, and again they won by 9 wickets with 69-1 to Sedbergh's 68 all out.

Bolton School will now compete and represent the North section in a National Finals Day on Sunday 9th September at Arundel Castle C.C

Head of PE in the Boys' Division, Mr Matt Johnson, said: "Against a high level of opposition, the lads really rose to the occasion and produced their highest level of performance to date. Although Chris Brownlow and Haseeb Hameed batted extremely well showing their true class, it was the team high standards and togetherness in the field and with the ball that really caused the damage. We are very proud of their achievements this year and hope they can continue for their final challenge in September."
