"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Brass Ensemble Gives Primary Performance

Thursday, 26 June 2014

Under the direction of Mrs Hughes-Williams, the Boys’ Division Brass Ensemble put together a performance for Kearsley West Primary School.

The ensemble performed three pieces: ‘Supertrouper’ by ABBA, Robbie Williams’s ‘Let Me Entertain You’, and the theme from The A Team. There were also some individual performances. Will Hardy performed the theme from Pirates Of The Caribbean on the cornet, and James Beamish gave a demonstration on the drum kit.

This made for an interesting and diverse range of music with something to appeal to everyone, and teachers and pupils alike really enjoyed the show.

This was part of the school’s Community Music Programme in partnership with Bolton Music Service.
