"That discipline and focus really impacted my athletic career with mountain biking, and with other aspects of everyday life too. I am very grateful to Bolton School for contributing to this solid foundation. "

Ensembles Perform for Local Community

Wednesday, 11 June 2014

A number of musical groups attended the Bolton Carers Support Group 20th Anniversary Celebration at the Britannia Hotel in Bolton. The Joint Junior Saxophone Group, Joint Senior Saxophone Quartet, and Joint Senior Clarinet Quartet provided excellent entertainment, and added a lovely atmosphere to the occasion. The musicians were directed by Miss Fiona Berry of the Boys’ Division.

This was one of many concerts and events are arranged by the school’s music departments as part of the ongoing community music programme, in partnership with Bolton Music Service.

As part of the same initiative, the Joint Junior Orchestra visited Castle Hill Primary School to perform. The orchestra was directed by Miss Clare Deady of the Girls’ Division, and they delighted the pupils with their wonderful music.
