Around 500 pupils in Years 3 and 4 took part in the annual Football Festival held at Bolton School, making the event a huge success once again.

Fifty teams took part in simultaneous matches across the School’s sports fields this year, playing ‘round robin’ games. The focus on the afternoon was to have fun and play the game in the right spirit with no pressure, as scores and league tables were not recorded.

The six-a-side matches were nonetheless strongly contested, and all members of the teams enjoyed taking part. Players were supported from the sidelines by a host of parents and family members who came along to watch.

Participation in the event for Year 3 and 4 pupils is a great training ground for involvement in the competitive Year 5 and 6 Football Festival when the pupils get older. The competition will take place later in the week.
