"Three years ago I was undereducated, underachieving and underestimated. The bursary at Bolton School meant that I had a chance at changing my life. It offered me new blueprints for the future, and I saw endless possibilities."

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Friday, 30 November 2012

Today was the last day of Movember for teachers in Bolton School Boys' Division.  For the past month teachers have joined the global campaign to raise awareness about men's health, particularly testicular and prostrate cancer.

The teachers have been sponsored by friends, family and pupils to grow their moustaches and hope to raise over £200. The campaign originated in Melbourne, Australia in 2003 and has grown to become a worldwide event.  Last year alone almost £80m was raised whilst encouraging men to talk more openly about health issues.
