Meeting of two Old Boy International Swimmers
Tuesday, 09 November 2010
Old Boys of Bolton School and international swimmers old and new, Daniel Sliwinski and David Aspinall, had the chance to chat and compare notes at an Old Boys' Lunch at the School.
Recent leaver Daniel has just returned from representing England in the Commonwealth Games in Dehli, where he picked up a bronze medal in the Men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay and also placed sixth in the 50m breaststroke and eighth in the 100m breaststroke.
David Aspinall attended Bolton School from 1948-1953 and represented both the Great Britain and England teams at swimming between 1954 and 1957. The Lunch provided the Old Boys with the chance to compare experiences both of the School and what it is like to swim for your country over 50 years apart.
