"Bravo to all at the School, and heartiest thanks for their genuine devotion to our children and their futures. If there were to be one example for all schools to be modelled upon, Bolton School would be the natural choice."

Movember Aims to Change the Face of Men’s Health

Friday, 28 November 2014

Bolton School Boys’ Division teachers have been raising money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK by growing moustaches for Movember!

Mr Tillotson, Dr Morgan, Dr Procter and Mr Brown locked away their razors for the entire month of November and threw themselves into the challenge.  Whilst enjoying some healthy competition as they compared and contrasted each other’s growth, they all said that they are ready for the big shave off over the weekend. Between them they have raised several hundred pounds.

Movember challenges men to grow a moustache during the month of November, changing both their appearance and the face of men’s health.

The campaign supports world class men’s health programmes that combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges. These programmes, directed by the Movember Foundation, are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer, staying mentally healthy, living with and beyond mental illness and research in order to achieve their vision of making an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.

The Movember campaign is now in its 11th year, after originating in Australia it has grown to become a global movement involving millions of participants from across the World.
