"Pupils are encouraged to volunteer, to lead, to perform, to try new things, to move outside their comfort zone and they emerge as fine, rounded, honourable young adults equipped to thrive and succeed wherever life takes them."

National ISFA Place for Alex

Thursday, 15 September 2011

Year 10 pupil Alex O'Donoughue has been selected to represent ISFA (Independent Schools, Football Association) nationally at Under 15 level.

Following the U14 programme last season and a series of trials at camps held in the Summer Holidays, the final squad was selected to represent the association during the 2011/2012 season. Alex took part in an important camp at Bradfield in August where the ISFA selectors looked to reduce the squad down to the 20 players who have now been chosen. Three practice matches took place with Leyton Orient, Aldershot Town and Wycombe Wanderers providing the opposition, with all the ISFA boys appearing against all three clubs and sharing the playing time.

The first match for Alex's U15 squad will be against Milton Keynes Dons FC on Wednesday 26 October at 1.00pm.

Bolton School is one of only six ISFA focus schools in the country.
