Old Boys' Golf Day Helps Fund Future Generations

Friday, 20 September 2013

Despite the rain, Old Boltonians and their friends have once again made a significant contribution to the School's Bursary Fund through the annual Bolton School Bursary Golf Day, held at Bolton Golf Club on Thursday 19th September.

Teams from across the School Community joined teams of pupils from the Boys’ Division and the Girls' Division at the event. Money was raised by each team paying an entry fee and further funds were raised on the day through a raffle, with large thanks being due to sponsors, advertisers and donors of prizes. A fantastic grand total of £5, 600 was raised through the event.

Since the Golf Day first began in 2006, well over £25,000 has been raised for the School Bursary Fund, which goes towards paying the fees for the next generation of deserving pupils.
