Prestigious Sport Awards for Bolton School Pupils

Bolton School pupils Haseeb Hameed and Nalisha Patel were honoured at the 2013 BoSPAA Sports Awards.

Nalisha, a year 11 pupil in the Girls’ Division, was awarded ‘Sports Achiever of the Year’ at a prestigious evening awards ceremony held at the Reebok Stadium. Nalisha has played cricket for Lancashire and has now been selected for the England Under 19s' Development Squad. Year 12 pupil in the Boys’ Division, Hasseb, was runner up in the same category, also for cricket at county and national level.

Bolton School also sponsored the category of ‘Coach of the Year’ at the awards, which went to Lynda Grady of Bolton Trampoline Club.

BoSPAA (Bolton Sport and Physical Activity Alliance) is made up of organisations from Bolton Council, Health, Education and the Community and Voluntary sector, who provide sport and leisure activities for the people of Bolton. The main aim is to encourage participation and to profile the work of sport and leisure, making lives better through sport and physical activity.
