Old Boy, actor, writer and semi-professional footballer Ralf Little will give this year’s Tillotson Lecture.

Ralf attended Bolton School from 1988 to 1998. His acting break came when he was offered the role of Antony Royle in the BBC sitcom The Royle Family. He had just started at Manchester Medical School when the offer to join the show proved a ‘Royle’ command. The original series ran from 1998 to 2000, but returned with numerous specials: Ralf reprised his role in 2006, 2009 and 2010. He went on to play Jonny Keogh in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Though known mainly for television comedy, he has also appeared in many other TV, radio and theatre roles, including an episode of Doctor Who earlier this year!

Alongside his acting career, when time allowed Ralf played semi-professional football for Maidstone United, Edgware Town, Chertsey Town and Hollywood United. He has also played for Arsenal Ex-Pro, Celebrity XI, for Soccer Aid and in the John Kennedy testimonial match for Manchester United. He most recently played on Team Shearer in the charity match Game 4 Grenfell.

There is no charge for the Tillotson Lecture and tickets are not issued. However, it would be helpful in assessing seating requirements if those wishing to attend would email to confirm numbers. Please contact us via the appropriate email address below by Wednesday 22nd November 2017 to express your interest in attending the Tillotson Lecture.
