RNLI Benefits from Olympic Torch Breakfast Fundraiser
Friday, 29 June 2012
The Bolton branch of the RNLI has been given a cheque for £716.92 from Bolton School after money was raised through catering sales on the morning that the Olympic torch passed by School and was carried by Old Girl, Rachel Flanders.
It was an early start as the torch passed the School at 6.21am on Friday 1 June and afterwards pupils, parents and staff enjoyed a breakfast in the School's dining room and got a chance to look at the Olympic torch, which Rachel kindly brought into School after her run. You can read about the morning here.
Earlier in the year, the School held an RNLI Fun Day which you can read about here.
