School Hosts Bolton Rugby League Competition

Thursday, 01 March 2012

Bolton School has played host to the first round of this year's Bolton borough rugby league competition.

The year 7 and 8 teams from Bolton School, Canon Slade, St.Catherine's, St Joseph's and Westhoughton Schools locked horns to get the town's rugby league back up and running.  The event took place under the guidance of the town's Development Officer and Leigh Centurions' Rugby League captain John Duffy.

Bolton School put out an A and B team at both age groups.  All the players took to the games very quickly and the highlight of the evening was the high scoring draw between the two Bolton u13 sides where honours and bruises were even!

More rugby league will follow in the coming weeks and we look forward to hosting a further rugby league event here at Bolton school.
