Students Add to Hospice's Tree of Life
Tuesday, 15 December 2015
Students from Bolton School Boys’ Division, along with Head of Year 12 Miss Tunstall, recently visited Bolton Hospice to place four gold leaves that they had dedicated onto the Tree of Life as a result of their donation of £1,400. The leaves, one from each form – Manchester, Chorley, Wigan and Blackburn – were paid for through monies raised on a non-uniform day.
The Bolton Hospice Tree of Life is a beautiful, handcrafted metal sculpture set in the hospice's main reception that allows personalised engraved leaves to be added to the branches to create a stunning and poignant lasting collection of memories and special messages.
Supporters have the option to choose bronze, silver or gold leaves and have a message of their choice engraved onto it. Donations received for the Tree of Life are used to ensure that the hospice continues to care for local people with both cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses.
Leaves can be dedicated in memory of a loved one, to express thanks, as a gift, to show support to the hospice or simply with your own name or personal message
