Students Dress to Impress on Valentine's Day

Thursday, 03 March 2011

On Valentine's Day Bolton School hosted a non uniform day which saw all pupils from the Boys' Division pay £1 to wear their own clothes in a generous fundraising effort for neighbouring children's charity Bolton Lads and Girls Club.  The day was a great success and raised £750!

Mohammad Jaberansari, a Year 13 pupil, said: "Lots of students and teachers from Bolton School help out at the Lads and Girls' Club and we are delighted to raise so much money for such a good local cause."

Rebecca Shivji, Volunteer Coordinator, Bolton Lads and Girls Club, said: "It is fantastic knowing that Bolton School pupils whole-heartedly embraced this fundraising challenge.  They raised a great amount of money and in turn, have succeeded in supporting disadvantaged children and young people in their local community."
