Team GB Tradition for Winstanley Brothers

Thursday, 05 May 2016

Playing water polo for Great Britain is rapidly becoming a tradition for the three Winstanley brothers.

Middle brother Aaron is currently in Turkey, where he will captain the Great Britain Men’s Under 19 water polo team in the European Championships Qualification Tournament. The team are due to play Montenegro on Friday, Turkey on Saturday and Belgium on Saturday in the competition. This follows a hugely successful training camp in Malta. Also on the team are fellow Old Boys Chris Ray and Ben Riding.

Aaron follows in the footsteps of his older brother Drew, who also represented his country at Under 19 level.

The youngest of the brothers, Jos, is currently in Year 10 but nonetheless is on track to continue the family tradition. He was recently selected to represent England Under 16s at the EU Nations Championships in Vienna.
