Tennis Champs Receive Trophies

Tuesday, 08 July 2014

The Bolton School Intermediate Tennis finals took place in the final week of term. Over sixty boys from Years 9 and 10 entered the competition, which took place throughout the summer term, but it was finally down to the last four.

In the Year 9 final, Sina Ghanbari-Saheli beat Steven Prescott 6-4.

Last year’s Year 9 champion Oliver King faced off against Nat Roohan in the Year 10 final. At the end of the match, he added the Year 10 Shield to his trophy collection, winning 6-3.

The competition is a good way of getting lots of boys playing tennis. Some of the boys who take part then go on to represent the school at both the AEGON National Schools’ and the Northern Schools’ Tennis Championships.
