U13 Rugby Team in Lancashire Schools' Plate Final

Thursday, 13 February 2014

Audenshaw 17 - Bolton School 17

A dramatic end to the U13 Lancashire Schools' Plate Semi-final saw Bolton sneak through after a hard earned away draw at Audenshaw. Two first half tries from Jean-Paul Asumu and Joseph Brooks (converted by Jos Winstanley) saw Bolton take a 12-0 lead but Audenshaw came back to level. Bolton then took the lead 17-12 through a try by James Holland, but the home side again drew level and hit the bar with their attempted conversion.

Approaching full time Bolton had camped on Audenshaw's try line. As the final whistle went, Bolton were announced winners as the away team takes the spoils in a drawn game after the try count was level at 3-3.

Bolton will now play in the U13 plate final against the winners of Hutton Grammar School or Liverpool College at 12.00 noon on Sunday 23 March at Aldwinians' RUFC ground.
