Athletics Success for Bolton School Girls

The Bolton School Girls’ Division Year 7 & 8 Athletics teams enjoyed a successful meet at the Town Championships held at Leverhulme Park. The girls survived a hot afternoon of events, competing against strong opposition. The Year 8 team finished in 3rd place and the Year 7 team finished 2nd overall.

During the course of the afternoon, there were excellent performances from many pupils, with several girls becoming Town Champions in their respective events. Congratulations go to: Olivia Maguire (Year 8) in the Javelin; Alicia Quinton Taylor (Year 8) in the Discus; Ilham Nagi (Year 7) in the 100m sprint; Jade Sprott (Year 7) in the 800m running race; Caitlin Flood, Ruby Hassall, Ilham Nagi and Jade Sprott in the 4x100m relay.
