Barrister to Reveal Legal Career at Free Talk

On Tuesday 5 March 2019, barrister Sophie Cartwright will give a free, public talk at Bolton School entitled ‘A Career in Law: My Experience with Tips and Advice for Aspiring Lawyers’. The event will start at 7.00pm.

Sophie will talk about different areas and aspects of the law, paths to a career in the law and her own career journey over the past twenty years, including anecdotes and interesting stories.

A Barrister at Deans Court Chambers, Sophie specializes in representation at Inquest, and has also acted in the role of Counsel to the Inquest. Her practice also encompasses work in the areas of Judicial Review, Health and Social Care Regulation and in the Court of Protection. She is ranked in the legal directories for Inquest law, Professional Discipline, Public and Administrative Law and Health and Safety Law.

This event is sure to be of interest to those hoping to pursue a career in the law and anyone with an interest in legal practice.

This free event is open to everyone and will take place in the Girls’ Division Great Hall on Tuesday 5 March 2019, beginning at 7.00pm. Refreshments will be available beforehand from 6.30pm. Parking will be available in the Girls’ Division Quad, which will be clearly signposted on the night.
