"Hesketh House (Junior Girls' School) is a magical place of adventure, discovery, learning, friendship and joy. The girls, albeit within a modern, disciplined, hard-working atmosphere, appear each evening as though sprinkled in fairy dust."

County Call-Up for Footballer Lizzy

Tuesday, 24 November 2015

Elizabeth Harkness from Year 7 has earned a place with the Lancashire FA U13 Development Squad for the 2015-16 season! This is a particularly impressive achievement as her age category is actually under 12.

As well as weekly training sessions with the development squad, Lizzy will continue to play for her grassroots team, Preston North End. As the season progresses, she will represent her county at a number of fixtures.

In addition to playing football, Lizzy also plays tennis at Bolton Arena. In School, she is part of the talented athlete programme, which gives elite young sportswomen access to special sessions tailored to help them in their sporting careers. She is also a member of the Dymond Society, a group of Year 7 girls who performed particularly well in the entrance examination and meet each week for academic enrichment activities, often joined by the Headmistress and Sixth Form pupils.
