"Bravo to all at the School, and heartiest thanks for their genuine devotion to our children and their futures. If there were to be one example for all schools to be modelled upon, Bolton School would be the natural choice."

Girls Enthused by Model UN Experience

Sunday, 01 February 2015

Girls from Bolton School Senior School recently enjoyed a weekend of discussion and debating at the MUN-HIGH 2015 event which was held at Manchester High School for Girls.

The girls' team represented the country of Rwanda. Ms Amy Standring, who chose what committees the girls would form, said: "The students loved the atmosphere and they proved themselves to be promising debaters. We are now working hard to further develop our MUN team ready for WiMUN in June."

Mock United Nations (MUN) is an educational simulation and academic competition in which students learn skills including diplomacy, international relations and about the United Nations itself. It helps develop research, public speaking, debating and writing skills in addition to critical thinking, teamwork and leadership capabilities.
