Bolton School Year 11 pupil singer songwriter Iman Orths will be singing live this Friday for Children in Need outside the BBC studios in London.
Iman will be ‘Busking for the Bear’ for an hour, singing a range of cover songs.
16 year old Iman from Bolton was discovered busking in Manchester by Yasser of the BBC Asian Network. When Yasser first heard Iman in 2012, he was drawn over to her by the large crowds that the security guards were struggling to marshall.
Iman’s passion for music and song writing grew in her early teens when she attended a concert with her piano teacher. She performed and sang, and the reception she received encouraged her to sing more.
She is currently working with two producers, writing her own music and hopes to have an album out in the near future.
Iman is travelling to broadcasting house in London this Friday with her mum and guitarist, Sam Towers. Sam, aged 18, is a former Bolton School pupil, who left last year to continue his studies at Liverpool University.
You can listen to Iman and Sam live on BBC Asian Network for Children in Need from 1.45pm on Friday.
