"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Jenny is Young Ambassador for School Sport

Monday, 19 November 2012

Year 12 pupil Jenny Heyes has been selected as a Youth Sport Trust Young Ambassador for school sport.

She attended a conference in Manchester with the aim of inspiring and motivating the Young Ambassadors, so that they can then inspire and motivate other students in their school. Jenny, who plays netball and lacrosse for the school teams and is in the badminton club, will be involved in sports clubs and training for younger pupils at Bolton School, and with events such as the Primary Sports Festival for local primary school children.

Young Ambassadors are selected due to their sporting talent, and more importantly, due to their exceptional commitment and ability as young leaders or volunteers. A Young Ambassador's role is to increase participation and healthy lifestyles in their school, promote the positive values of sport in and through sport, be a role model in advocating PE and school sport, and to be the young people's voice on PE and school sport in their schools and communities.
