"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Leadership Experience for Water Polo Player

Tuesday, 15 March 2016

Year 10 pupil Thea Simpson joined a number of fellow water polo players from the Boys’ Division at the Greater Manchester School Games, where they helped out as Young Leaders. The pupils refereed, coached and became table officials for the Year 7/8 Water Polo competition at the School Games.

This was a valuable opportunity for Thea to gain leadership experience related to a sport she enjoys.

Her passion for water polo led her to become a member of the UK U15 Water Polo squad last year. Thea also trains with the City of Manchester water polo team.

The Boys’ Division Year 8 Water Polo team enjoyed success at the Greater Manchester School Games, where they achieved first place.
