Mabelle's Double Gymnastics Success

  • IMG_4446.JPEG

Mabelle Dawson, a Year 7 pupil at Bolton School Girls’ Division, is enjoying a double celebration having secured qualification for both the English and British Gymnastics Championships which will take place in March. At the beginning of February and after a final grading, Mabelle became a fully-fledged elite gymnast and joined the GB Home Nations Squad due to her ranking 6th in the UK for her age group. Last Autumn, Mabelle won her age category competition in the North West and, prior to that, had attended a GB Development Squad training camp at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall along with the country’s finest gymnasts.

Mabelle has practised gymnastics since she was three years old and trains five or six times a week with the City of Manchester Gymnastics Club.
