Megan's Busy Week with the Air Cadets

Megan Baxendale, a Y11 pupil at Bolton School Girls’ Division, has had a busy and successful Half-Term with her Air Cadet Squadron.

Attending a camp at RAF Valley, Megan achieved a number of awards, most significantly earning her Blue Flying Wings Qualification and, upon her return to Greater Manchester and despite being injured, attended hockey trials and was selected to play for the Regional Field Hockey Squad as goalkeeper. She will represent the 5 North of England Wings at the National Cadet Tournament at RAF Cranwell over the weekend of 16 and 17 November. Finishing off her busy week, Megan was selected to be the standard bearer on behalf of the Air Cadets when the Combined Services paraded on the pitch at Bolton Wanderers’ home game in the build up to the upcoming remembrance services.
