Mistaken Identity Play Benefits French Skills
Monday, 01 June 2015
Girls in Year 8 enjoyed a theatre production entirely in French as part of their post-examination activities.
Erreur d’identité – or ‘Mistaken Identity’ in English – was performed by two native French actors from theatre company Onatti. The play itself was a comedy set in a run-down hotel in France, miles from anywhere. A man arrives at the hotel and the owners become convinced that he is the escaped prisoner they read about in the newspaper!
The girls followed the on-stage escapades and were invited to join in, taking roles in the performance and using their French language skills to get involved. They really enjoyed watching the comedy unfold.
