Ninth in National Javelin Competition

  • Olivia Maguire

Year 8 pupil at Bolton School Girls’ Division, Olivia Maguire, has placed ninth nationally in the Junior Girls’ Javelin Competition at the English Schools’ Athletics Association Finals in Birmingham on Saturday 16 June where she was representing Greater Manchester.

She represented the region after first competing for Bolton and coming first in the Greater Manchester Athletics competition held at Longford Park a week earlier. Quite an achievement for someone new to the sport!
