The Parents’ Association has arranged a particularly special occasion for this year’s Bonfire Night celebrations, which will be held in School on Sunday 5 November.
The PA has booked Titanium Fireworks to produce the fireworks display. Titanium deliver two of the largest annual displays in the UK: the London New Year’s Eve celebrations, fired from the River Thames and the London Eye, and Edinburgh’s Hogmanay fireworks, which light up the sky above Edinburgh Castle and Gardens. The company also produced the spectacular fireworks at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as the Opening Ceremony of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014.
The Bolton School fireworks over Bolton School will be set to music for the first time ever, and with such a prestigious company behind the demonstration it is sure to be a stunning display!
In addition to the fireworks, there will also be lots of stalls and supper will be available in the Dining Hall, complete with pasties and black peas for traditionalists. The gates open at 5pm and the display will start at 6.30pm.
Entry this year will be via wristband. These can be purchased in advance from the PA via booking form: family tickets £25 (max 2 adults & 3 children), adult tickets £8, child tickets £5. Wristbands can also be bought on the gate at £10 per adult and £5 per child.
Please note that there are strictly no sparklers or fireworks allowed on the night. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, but Year 12 and Year 13 students are welcome to attend unaccompanied. Wristbands must be worn at all times.
