On Wednesday 2 May, Bolton School will hold a Poetry Festival featuring acclaimed poet Simon Armitage.

Members of the public are invited to join Bolton School pupils and staff for this free celebration of creativity at the School, which will also bring the 2017/18 series of Arts and Sciences Enrichment Events to a close.

As part of the Poetry Festival, Girls’ Division pupils from each year group will read their own work aloud, before Simon Armitage will also give a reading of his poetry.

The Poetry Festival is a free event and is open to everyone. It will take place in the Girls’ Division Great Hall on Wednesday 2 May 2018, beginning at 7.00pm. Refreshments will be available beforehand from 6.30pm. Parking will be available in the Girls’ Division Quad, which will be clearly signposted on the night.
