Visual artist Kyle Lambert visited Bolton School to show pupils
how to create iPad artwork!
Kyle showed the students how to create life like portraits on
the iPad using just his fingers, the brushes app for the iPad and
the iPad as his canvas.
Kyle has created many stunning works including portraits of
Beyonce and Rihanna, and was recently asked by Macworld to put
together a gallery of his work to showcase the power of the iPad in
the hands of a professional. He said: "I specialise in digital
painting and illustration, which is more and more becoming a big
part of the way artists create their work. I enjoy coming into
schools to show children how to use the iPads in this way as I
think it is important that children begin to embrace this
technology in schools."
Apple iPads were introduced at Bolton School in the Autumn
term. Subject teachers from across the academic spectrum of both
the Girls' and Boys' Divisions from Art to Psychology to PE to
Science are increasingly taking advantage of the devices which
encourage learning through interactive books and apps. As well as
being used in lessons, the iPads can also be used
within both Senior School libraries by pupils and staff.
