U13s Win Bolton Netball Tournament

The Girls’ Division Under 13 netball team played in the Bolton Netball Tournament in March. After five group stage matches, scoring 96 goals and conceding only a single goal, the girls progressed to the semi-finals feeling confident. The semi-finals against Turton was won convincingly 19-0.

In the final, the girls faced a well-drilled Canon Slade team. However the Bolton team proved too strong and won the match 10-5.

Girls’ Division PE teacher Ms Farrimond-Goff said: ‘This group of girls have trained hard all season and it’s wonderful to finish it off by winning the district tournament. The girls displayed a fantastic attitude and an incredible work rate in every game. They are always supportive of each other, demonstrating true teamwork. I’m very proud of how the played in the tournament and throughout the season.’

Well done to the Bolton Tournament winners: Georgia Clarkson (captain), Pippa Critchley, Olivia Jones, Ashriya Fernando, Scarlett Bowie, Molly Neville, Daisy-Lee Strange, Lois Cowin, Marissa Hollinghurst and Lana Bakeer.
