Water Sale Raises Awareness and Money

Thursday, 22 March 2012

Andy McAllister from Water4Ethiopia visited Bolton School Senior Girls' Division on World Water Day, to raise awareness, along with money for the charity.

Along with help from the girls, Andy and teacher Miss Rose Wilson sold Water4Ethiopia's own bottled water in the Main Hall at break and lunchtime. Andy has previously visited the School to talk to the girls about the work done by the charity, after a Year 9 form raised money through a sweet sale.

Andy works as a volunteer for Water4Ethiopia - the charity that he founded in 2009 along with his sister and mum who are the other two trustees. They gained registered charity status in September 2010 and are all volunteers, so do not get paid for the work that they do. The key to the charity is that 100% of the donations go to Ethiopia.
