Y10 Support Manchester Children’s Hospital
Friday, 11 March 2016
Gill Moss, a Specialist Nurse at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, returned to Bolton School Girls' Division to collect a cheque for £957.34 raised by Year 10 pupils through their “Christmas Post”.
The annual fundraiser sees the whole year split into groups who perform entertaining skits in assembly in order to persuade other girls from across the School to pay to use their delivery service to post their Christmas cards with all funds raised going towards charity. The girls raised further money through selling sweets and treats at break and lunchtime.
The girls' contribution will go to the Willink Biochemical Genetics Unit in Manchester, which is the main centre in the North West for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with paediatric inherited metabolic disorders.
