Year 7 Concert Showcases Girls' Musical Talent

Monday, 17 October 2011

Proud mums and dads filled the Girls' Division Great Hall as Year 7 girls, many of them new to Bolton School in September, showed off a startling array and depth of musical talent.

The evening opened with a stirring sing-a-long as the Year 7 Choir performed a range of Oliver! classics including Consider Yourself, Oom-Pah-Pah, I'd do Anything and Consider Yourself.  There were then a number of virtuoso solo performances which demonstrated the girls' prowess on the piano, the flute, the violin and on vocal.
