"There is no doubt this is a very special school with fantastic facilities and fantastic teachers who make all the difference. It's just a shame that every school in the country cannot be like Bolton School."

Year 7 Team Wins Bolton Schools' Netball Tournament

Saturday, 24 March 2012

Bolton School's U12 netball team has won this year's Bolton Schools' Netball Tournament.

The Year 7 girls were unbeaten throughout the 16 team tournament. They overcame Kearsley, Turton and Thornleigh in the group stages. The Turton game was very tight with the Bolton School girls clawing back a 2-0 Turton lead to triumph 4-3 in the end.  A convincing 8-0 semi-final win against Harper Green saw them up against Canon Slade in the final. Having been beaten by Canon Slade the night before in a league game, the Bolton girls were doubly determined and came through as tournament winners with a 4-1 victory.

The School did not enter a team last year but did win the same event in 2010.  Bolton School hosts all the town tournaments for netball.
