Bolton School Senior Girls

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education

Our lively PSHEE programme is handled in a variety of ways.

Many issues are dealt with in the fortnightly PSHEE lesson led by the girls' Form Tutors. Topics which require specialist knowledge are dealt with by outside experts. Further elements of the programme are covered during the course of subject lessons and during the period following the Summer examinations, as well as in Form and Council meetings and in extra-curricular work. Special study and activity sessions also form part of the Year 7 residential visit to Stratford and the Year 9 visit to Patterdale Hall.

Issues considered include topics such as Presenting Oneself, Community Living, Personal Organisation, Study Skills, Bullying and Healthy Eating. You can read the PSHEE policy and schedule of work in the Parental Information section on this web page.

Parents and carers may find the Parenting in the Digital Age website and Vodafone's Digital Parenting magazine useful for tips on how to help your child stay safe online.
