Bolton School hosted an evening of fashion and beauty on
the 1st May in support of Bolton Hospice, which
celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The event was
a great success raising £750.
Guests were treated to a Gok style high street versus charity
shop 'walk off', with charity shop looks provided by Bolton Hospice
Shop in Little Lever. This really did show that it is possible to
dress well for less!
The evening was supported by local business and our partners in
the local community. Special thanks go to Kerry Eckersall and the
Level 3 students from Bolton College Hair and Beauty Academy. They
offered a range of extremely professional, not to mention popular,
mini treatments including facials, back massages and nail file and
polish sessions.
The clothing for the 'prom wear' section of the evening was
modelled by Sixth Form students and supplied by Vicky Martin
and Matalan. Kate Whittle from Matalan offered outstanding support,
styling the Sixth Form male models and drawing the raffle. We
would also like to thank all those who donated prizes including
Bodywise Beauty Studio (Horwich) for the Dermalogica facial, Dawn
Marsden Hair Studio (Horwich) for the cut and finish and Toni and
Guy (Bolton) for the cut and finish.
