Year 12 pentathlete, Andrew Keat, is well on his way to achieving his long term Olympic dream. The 16 year old is ranked in the top 10 in Great Britain in his age group in the Modern Pentathlon which includes running, swimming, shooting, fencing and horse riding events.
Andrew has been selected for the Modern Pentathlon GB Team, following selection competitions earlier in the year. He has already been crowned National Schools Champion five times and also represented Great Britain last year at a Berlin Youth competition, finishing sixth overall.
He said: “I want to get stronger and to work on each aspect of my sport so that I have no weaknesses in any of them. Once that has been achieved I believe I can progress both nationally and internationally to be one of the best competitors for my country. I want to compete at Olympic level against the best in the world.”
