"Three years ago I was undereducated, underachieving and underestimated. The bursary at Bolton School meant that I had a chance at changing my life. It offered me new blueprints for the future, and I saw endless possibilities."

Boys are Runners Up at Greater Manchester Youth Games Sevens

Tuesday, 19 March 2013

The Bolton School Senior Rugby team were runners up in the first U18 Greater Manchester Youth Games Rugby Union Sevens Tournament.

The boys took part in the opening ceremony of the Youth Games at the Etihad stadium and then went on to compete in the sevens tournament at Broughton Park RUFC, where they fell narrowly short of winning the title.

An early 22-5 loss to Altrincham set the team back, but Bolton then went unbeaten in the next five matches to finish in style. During the five wins Bolton scored 113 points only conceding 14 points, but with Altrincham remaining unbeaten, the boys finished runners up – a great end to the Sevens campaign and the rugby season as a whole.
