Boys Sixth Form Student Andrew Keat is town Cross Country Champion

Bolton School Sixth Form pupil Andrew Keat overcame 150 other local boys to win the U18s’ Bolton Schools’ Cross Country Championship, which took place at Rivington and Blackrod High School. A total of 17 Schools participated.

Andrew will now go on to represent the town at the County Championships which will take place in February at Canon Slade School.

Andrew has recently run his first senior distance (10km) cross country - his race on Wednesday was 3.5km in comparison.  Andrew has upped his training after joining Sale Harriers, where he is enjoying the chance to train with established athletes and he is looking ahead to next year to revise his personal bests on the track.
