Charities Supported by Sixth Form Fun Run
Monday, 18 April 2016
The Sixth Form boys donned a colourful combination of costumes for the annual Fun Run, which this year supported two charities. The boys raised sponsorship in support of the Cleft Lip and Palate Association and Bolton Children’s Opportunity Group.
With pupils dressed as Uncle Sam, Skeletor, Harry Potter wizards, sharks and all kinds of animals, and even a pair of bananas, they made quite a sight as they ran laps around the Levels!
The Sixth Formers’ efforts raised a total of £750, which will be distributed between the two charities.
The Boys’ Division’s charitable endeavours have also been recognised with an invitation to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party in May to celebrate 150 years of Barnardo’s. The invitation recognises that the School and the Sixth Form boys in particular have been supporting this famous children’s charity for over twenty-five years.
