Former Pupils Return to Share Career Tips

Successful Old Girls and Old Boys returned to Bolton School to share their experiences with current Sixth Form pupils on World of Work Day.
Technology Consultant Victoria Howarth, Centre Director Nicola Wilcock, Doctor Zakhi Zafrani, dentist Irfan Ravat and Egyptology lecturer Dr Joyce Tyldesley, ran sessions with the pupils, talking about the career paths they had chosen and offering tips and advice on choosing a career.
On the day, the pupils had the chance to attend talks on a wide range of areas, including acting, archaeology, architecture, clothing, construction, dentistry, design, engineering, finance, IT, law, marketing, medicine, music, teaching and psychiatry. Alongside the Old Girls and Old Boys, speakers included fashion designer Karen Tyler, chartered civil engineer Eraina Smith, barrister Mark Harper, architect John Holt and Bolton School staff - Development Manager Laura Firth and History teacher Louise Dickinson.
