Rugby Team Set for Portugal Tournament
Wednesday, 09 April 2014
Bolton School’s First XV Rugby team is all set for an Easter trip to Portugal. Leaving on Friday 11 April, the players will travel to Lisbon to play in an International Tournament at the University of Lisbon. The boys will also enjoy an historic tour around Lisbon, visit Benfica’s stadium and will stay in the resort of Estoril. They will return on 15 April.
The team is extremely grateful to KPMG for sponsoring the match shirts, organised by Mr Boyers, the father of Matthew Boyers who is in Year 12 and is Vice-Captain of the team. They are equally thankful to Engineering Service Company, who has sponsored the boys’ polo-shirts. The local firm has recently installed the electrics at the new Riley Sixth Form Centre, Hesketh House Junior Girls' School and at Beech House Infant School.
The School will hold a fundraising dinner and dance at the Arts Centre on Saturday 14 June to raise money and awareness for the next First XV tour in 2016. Tickets can be purchased from Mr Caspar Joseph: ccj@boltonschool.org
