"There is no doubt this is a very special school with fantastic facilities and fantastic teachers who make all the difference. It's just a shame that every school in the country cannot be like Bolton School."

Students Deliver Disability Alpine Ski Lessons

Friday, 07 March 2014

Whilst Jade Ethrington and her ski guide Caroline Powell were in Sochi winning a Paralympic silver medal, volunteers from Bolton School's Sixth Forms were on the slopes at Chill Factore Manchester introducing disabled youngsters from the Bolton region to the sport of alpine skiing.

The Sixth Form students had been trained up earlier in the year to work alongside adaptive coaches to teach skiing on behalf of Disability Snowsport UK.   The sessions have been funded by GreaterSport and Sportivate.
