Anna Phillips, a Y12 pupil in the Girls’ Division of Bolton School, has been selected for the U17s’ England Women’s Football squad for the 2020 Euro qualifiers in Bosnia over the October half-term. The team will play crunch games against Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Belgium as they look to progress to the next round and the finals in 2020.

Anna’s mum commented: “Anna has continued to enjoy her journey with her football and this would not be possible without the support from school as well as Manchester City.

As you can imagine we are very proud parents and are hoping that we will also get the opportunity to support Anna whilst she is away.”

Anna continues to play her club football with the Under 18 Manchester City Ladies’ Team.
